Thanks to jcase, MichaelV, robot, shinkamui (and any I've missed) for their persistence in bringing this about but let's avoid cheapshots at integrity etc which cause these things to escalate into stupid and time-wasting fights.

I've agreed to drop the issues from that particular thread because I want to move on. I'd appreciate if those from the other side would drop them too, which means cutting out the painting of my position (and that of others on that thread) as "stupid", "time-wasting", and "cheap shots".
