PonMan is mistaken. you do not need root to install apps on your edge. just mark accept application from untrusted sources in settings. copy e.g. astro explorer apk on your sd card. use library to browse for the file. double click!! or use ES explorer to open apk. rooting takes 5 minutes as well.
