1. Yesterday I have registered and updated, using the wifi of a friend of mine. It seemd like nothing happened, but after about 20 minutes a word 'false' had changed to 'true' (can't find it anymore, maybe because I am not connected). Can I assume the update succeeded? How can I check?

2. I tried to annotate in a pdf file, but it doesn't work. The annotate and highlight (and some other) icons are missing. The files are pdf's I made myself and pdf's I downloaded from the internet, so they are not e-books. Is it not possible to annotate that kind of pdf's?
