Google has announced a new product at Google Labs called Google App Inventor. The goal seems to be giving non-programmers the capacity to write Android apps on their own.

It's not publicly available yet, but apparently you can submit a form at http://appinventor.googlelabs.com/ which allows you to be considered for access in the coming weeks. This seems like an interesting endeavor, and could change the Android landscape if it takes off.
