What I find works best is to pug in the 505 and then run eBook Library. I don't find it slow. What you might be experiencing is the pagination that eBook Library does. It sorts out the pagination of each eBook and writes the info to an XML file. So yes, it does take a little bit longer to transfer, but you then do not have to wait for the 505 to do the pagination for you which is definitely slower then eBook Library doing it on the fly.
