Hi (from a land down under). Sorry that just slipped out.

My name is Frans. Just starting the second half of my life(hopefully). Came to Australia by way of England, Belgium and Eire.

Been playing with computers since 1979, owned my first one(comex23) in 1983. Avoided the PC XT/AT era by using an Amiga(5 in fact). As an early techno geek I was and am interested in the hardware and its potential. This is what led me to find the edge some 7 or so months ago. I had designed an e-reader using e-ink technology 4 years ago but couldn't overcome the colour issue. When I saw the edge, DOH! In my defense Marvell had not released the Armada chip with the epd(electronic paper display) driver hardware.

Only got my red edge two weeks ago after lurking on the forum for months, so was excited and consequently disappointed and then delighted by the dingo(still finding good things) release.

Anyway, time to get back to education, for myself and how I can improve it.
