I'm not too familiar with Linux but the article looks fascinating and indicates just what is possible on the eDGe. The project was done using the 6in AM200 e-ink developer kit so imagine what can be done with the eDGe's 9.7in screen ! This same kit was used to demonstrate very basic animation here:
