I just realized, I left out details in my earlier posts that make my messages somewhat cryptic. The first site I had this problem with, the one that's so problematic for me, is MS Web Outlook. Hence my ability to simply "regift" my emails to my personal email address and download attachments with no problem. But I just performed a test on another subsite with the same type domain and the same way of protecting files, and I had no problem downloading the files--althought they were PNGs.
