Software Update Problem

Hello,
Before I contact support, I thought I would as the forum about this issue. I am able to get wifi to work, the browser works fine, downloads from the library/bookstore work fine. However, I wanted to do the software update, but I keep getting the error message: 'The software update has failed due to a network connection problem. Check your network settings and try again -- Code 101'

Anyone have any thoughts on this error.
