FTR, I have had no problems with my touchscreen responsiveness. Using my finger is less accurate than using the stylus, but that doesn't surprise or bother me. If I need detailed work, I use the stylus. If I need to type fast, I use the stylus in my right hand, finger on left. Works perfectly, though since I'm not yet accusstomed to the tactile difference in using a virtual rather than a physical keyboard, my typing accuracy is about half what it is on a physical keyboard.
