The Edge uses a resistive touch screen not capacitive. It's the same type of screen as Nintendo DS. Try using your finger on that screen instead of your stylus. You won't get very good results. Having said that, the resistive screen on the Edge is fairly responsive and accurate. Try using your finger nail with gentle tapping motion. Once you get used to it, you will find that it works really well. I have been very pleased with the touch screen performance. So much so that I don't always plug in my keyboard although it is always available. I have been playing nonstop since getting my Edge on Monday and I am extremely happy with the device. It's exactly what I have been looking for a long long time.
