I agree with the subdued colours, especially the burgundy. I purchased red, which I think is an acceptable bright/professional compromise. I do love orange, bright green and purple as vanity colours too, but the red plastic already feels the slightest bit "Fisher Price" (not that much, but a tiny bit) so I don't think I could go for orange or green for this machine. Silver and gold might feel like a bit too much bling, and pink is for girls! pffft!!
I do have to say though that I think the red is the perfect balance of colour for oomph and professionalism. And, it appears to be in the light/dark sweetspot for fingerprints as I know I have them but really can't see them. I'm happy with my choice.
