The eDGe doesnt care what country it is in, be it the USA, Greece, Australia, or Mongolia. I live in Japan, and of course, there are no problems. WiFi is WiFi everywhere (as long as the router is 802.11 b/g/n standard .... and I am quite sure that every WiFi router meets these standards), so connectivity is no problem. The only issues are how to get it shipped (Sarah has some suggestions above, or use a friend) and if you need warranty service, its not simple (this is the only "risk" that I can imagine). The AC power adapters on virtually all hi-tech devices these days accept 100-240 VAC input, but you may need a new cord or plug adapter (NOT a voltage adapter) in some countries (e.g. Australia, Europe, etc). These can be obtained for less than $5 usually. The language issue is separate, and I am not sure how the eDGe works with other-than-Englosh input. As for display, I can tell you that it displays Japanese text and file names without difficulty. I imagine this is a function of Android. So just go ahead and get one and stop worrying!!
