I'm from Portugal too
If that helps I bought my eReader at a few days ago and I still went for the Kindle 3.
We can't get the new Nook here, well not through normal means, you can use a forwarding mail system if you really want it, but didn't like it that much too.
And I just can't find the new Kobo appealing either. It's too social network centric for me and not that too much for functionality that matters, but well it didn't come out yet so it still could turn out to be good.
Well if you need any help just send me a PM, I'll be willing to help as I spent almost 2 months researching which eReader to get (yeah I like to be sure on the things I buy
).
BTW I'm only speaking in English because I don't want people to guess what the hell am I saying
