My own preferred package for my week old Kindle3 is:
-
Bundle Monster black synth leather cover from Amazon [a steal, IMO, for those looking for a plain, but stylish and thin book-type cover of surprisingly good quality - the magnetic closure, seams and overall build quality is top notch for such an inexpensive product IMO];
-
Mighty Bright TravelFlex Book Light from Amazon [another good buy, very slim single AAA battery unit, diffuser for the light resulting in excellent K3 screen coverage with minimal glare, very good quality metal wrapped adjustable gooseneck and best of all, with my cover above folded back, the light clips perfectly onto the inside of the spine].
I am extremely pleased with my setup.
Would post links/pics of the stuff, including my setup but I am new and stuff like that is seems to be subject to MR Moderation Queue for review for noobs so...
@silviebi: I think the K3 is a reasonably robust device physically and should stand up to normal, adult-style care and feeding, including the pressure from most clip on booklights/clamps that will fit. I do think some kind of case/cover with a rigid front is essential to protect the screen from damage though. An incredible assortment of K3 cases to choose from out there - bound to be something to your liking, style and budget.
There are prolly a zillion ways to attach lights of your choice to the Kindle3, including stuff like velcro adhesive and the clips on the lights themselves if large enough - I know there are tons of experts here on MR on this. Be creative!
Only speedbump I observe might be the smooth and curved nature of the rear of the K3 which might make stable clamping of clip-type lights a bit of tougher. Still, not insurmountable at all IMO.
cheers!
