We Asians use condensed milk nearly everyday!

You're the man, Stitchawl! Condensed milk poured over dessert is crucial. I think you must've tasted Vietnamese milk coffee? Not so bad, right?
And the idea of condensed milk used in beverages to you Westerners is just as strange/weird/odd as using whipped cream / steamed milk in coffee and tea to us Asians

When I first figured out that you put milk in tea I was like

"What? That must be awful!"... until I tasted it, of course
