That was never in doubt or argued. The argument on that matter is that the majority also has good reasons for NOT wanting to use a touch screen sometimes.

What your converse argument said is that sometimes people prefer touch screens. No kidding. I'm one of them. As I've said, explicitly, many times.
(In my personal case, I NEVER prefer touch for page turns, just for other ops, and it's not logically valid to claim anyone does from the actual argument you made, but I can see how others might. I'm the reasonable one, here.)
This is aside from the observation that more people seem to be saying they'd prefer to NOT have a touch screen at all than are saying they'd want a touch screen only (a la the iDevices or new Kobo), and yet several people are repeatedly doing a Homer and ignoring them.
