I wanted an e-ink reader for a long time (actually, ever since Sony brought out the very first one...) But either they weren't available in my area or waaaaay too expensive.

But then the e-ink explosion started in Europe (which was much later than in the US). I went to the CeBit 2 years ago and saw my first e-ink reader there (the Foxit reader). I also talked to the people from BeBook and liked what I saw there. So, when the BeBook Mini came out, I bought it asap. It's a nice sturdy little reader that reads mobipocket. (DRM was never important to me, I've had to strip that for a long time, as I had more than 3 devices: 2 PDA's, 1 PC and 1 laptop and for a while a WinMobile phone).

It is seeing a bit less action since I've got my Sony. But I never take the Sony with me, so the Mini is my on-the-road-reader. And mobipocket isn't my format of choice anymore on my e-ink readers, but rather PDF (home-grown). So, the fact that the Sony doesn't read mobipocket isn't a problem
