Yes, that would be the thing--the ereader would definitely cost more since it was no longer subsidized by a huge book store company. Plus there would be licensing fees. But I too would gladly pay a premium to get a reader that was designed to please us customers rather than just shoved in our faces by a big player with the attitude of take it or leave it.
