Don't mind the drifting at all, it's pretty interesting
If I could, I'd travel with my Entourage Edge Dualbook, which has both a tablet AND an e-ink reader that is softer on the eyes. So I agree, I would prefer to travel with only one device if I could. Sadly, I really *do* need the functions of Win7, Android doesn't quite cut it whether it's a dualbook or a nook or whatever, so I need to carry the netbook, which is just slightly heavier than the dualbook. At least I don't have to carry my business laptop, which is about like carrying a fat cat, and as awkward too.
So, yeah, a netbook companion is ultimately what I need, and thank you all for helping me to realize that. In the end, so far the Kindle has the edge on the others, only because of int'l EVDO. I've ordered one, so we'll see how it goes soon.
