Yes, I own a K3 and a jetBook. There's no functional difference in reading. The Pearl screen is a little bit nicer than the LCD, IMO, but not enough to really notice. The LCD was clearly better than earlier generation eInk screens.
I use the K3 for anything I buy from Amazon, or that comes in mobi/prc format, and the jetBook for anything else (particularly ePub and rtf) because of the versatility of the jetBook software and the SD card.
Neither unit is worth a boot full of warm liquid for most PDFs[1], although the jetBook, even with the small screen is less bad due to the Adobe software. If I want to read PDFs, I use my laptop.

[1] Only exceptions, PDFs formatted for a small screen, or properly tagged for reflow. Neither is common.
