Record heat, record drought continues. My CA&H is about 20 yrs old and patched together so it couldn't get it below 81F in the house yesterday afternoon. It got to about 98F outside. My blood tells me I should be in cool, green Ireland or Switzerland. How my ancestors, aside from Greatx4 Lepretre, who came over from San Domingue, survived in New Orleans before AC is a mystery to me. Going outside feels like opening an oven door. I know I'll be grateful when New Year's Day is sunny and 65F but, still, this is more like late August than early June! It is supposed to be barely 90F with a 3 o'clock thunderstorm!
