Hello All,
I just received an Amazon Kindle 3g/Wi-Fi! I think I'm going to like this Kindle compared to the old Apple Newton I've been using. I know the Apple Newton is long in the tooth- but everyone seems to be using these things these days and if I can find some free books that would be great.
I've always had to convert books into Newton lingo so I could read them on the Newton and all the time I've spent just to read a book- I don't have anymore. So if anyone can give some pointers on how I can maximize the use of the Kindle- Hey that would be great!
I was considering getting a Nook, but it's battery life I heard is less than the Kindle- and I'm hoping the Kindle is more compatible and as easy to use as the Nook. I spent some time playing with a Nook... and when the electronics guy called his manager to help me it was clear that the Kindle would be a better buy. The one thing that the manager was interested in was that I was still using a Newton- so I got the Kindle on his strong recommendation!
Anyone interested in writing me would be great!
Take Care,
todd 'applguy'
