Well, B&N gives you the option to open it in ADE so I tried that first, as it wasn't something I would have minded reading on the computer if it couldn't transfer to my reader (a cookbook). But it wouldn't show up at all on ADE, so I saved it and then transferred and assumed my plug-ins would handle it at import into Calibre. however, I just went back and read all the way down on Apprentice Alf and realized that plug-in has to be customized, so all's good.
