I got a Kindle for my birthday a couple of weeks ago, and yesterday it bricked. Luckily it was an easy process to go in and exchange it since my hubby got it at Best Buy.
I'm just amazed at the info on this site. So far you have helped me figure out how to manage my ebook collection; convert formats; manage Kindle collections; "convert" library books to read on the Kindle. Every time I had a question, Google led me here!
Then I looked up (finally figuring out that I should just search the forums directly
how reset a Kindle, and that perhaps if I had to exchange it anyway, I might like a new Sony instead
So today I swapped out the Kindle for a clearance priced Sony DRS 950 (minus a store model 20% discount, I got it cheaper than the Kindle I exchanged it for). So far I'm very impressed with it.
I'm looking forward to exploring the rest of the forums!
See you all on the Sony forum, probably (I have a month to play around with it and make sure I like it and don't want to return to Kindle...it's not looking likely though).
