I briefly (13 days) owned a NC. I took it back, since it didn't fit my needs. I can see, however, if you want to read magazines and children's books, that it would be the device of choice. The screen was brilliant (in both senses of the word).
Personally, I found the weight-and-balance and the capacitive touch screen were not to my taste. The lack of a dedicated page forward button also was a big minus for me, since I didn't like the touch screen.
