Hello! Congrats on your anniversary and what a fun gift! If you are used to your 350, then the NC will definitely seem heavier. It is light compared to the typical 10" tablet like an iPad. I have mostly gotten used to it. They do sell anti-glare screen protectors which help but reduce the screen contrast a bit. I still use my e-ink ereaders outside unless I'm in the shade and can turn up the screen brightness.
The new Nook touch reader is very similar to your 350 except with a 6 inch screen. Like the 350 it does not have a web browser or audio player. It does however have Wifi so you can buy books direct from the B&N bookstore from the ereader. It does not have landscape viewing or zoom/pan. It does have more choices for font size and type. So if you are happy with your 350, then you probably don't want to trade the NC for the Touch unless you want a larger screen or B&N store integration. Hope that helps!
