sciguy,

I will be interested to hear what they say. From what I have heard, Amazon is very good at replacing Kindles.

My 18 month old daughter almost broke mine a week back. She opened the cover and then tried to turn the Kindle like a page....she had it bent up at about a 50 degree angle before I caught her.
Credit to the Kindle, it didn't crack or break. The back cover started to come off so I popped it back on and bent the cover pins back. Everything seems to be working fine and the only remaining damage is that the Kindle is warped a little around where the slots are for the cover pins.

After all the stories about the Kindle 2 cracking at the cover attachment points I was really impressed to seek the K3 take the beating it did.
