Minimalist slip cases for PRS350 - where are you?

All I want is something functional - to protect screen and maybe the edges of the device itself (to increase resale value)

Best Buy: Sony's has a zippered one (too fussy) and a sturdier one (too 'executive' looking - "please steal this"). Both are designed to fit exactly and the second makes the PRS-350 looks even sturdier, plus hold a lamp. I don't like the discreet logo ads that say 'I have something expensive in here.

Standard cover with no zipper is fussy. The device is already hard enough - who needs more sturdiness? Both add too much bulk for my trouser pocket. $30 + tax for the zippered one, $40 for sturdy one that does not zipper. Looks like they are designed for lady businesswoman's leather bag in San Francisco instead of my cotton/poly cargo shorts in Sri Lanka.

Better perhaps is Verso"s basic kit for ereaders. Black neoprene case with space for flexi light that comes with it, along with batteries. Fits Kindle 3, Sony reader Touch (wee bit big for pocket edition) Extra length in bag enough for light but it looks like not enough for usb cord. I'd say make a companion bag for both and keep ereader bag minimal.

Sony Store: no extra styluses for sale. Clerk says Sony used to make simple slip covers, but no longer. While substitutes would work I am really disappointed that the fits-perfectly stylus is not offered for sale. None in stock.

Future Shop: More of same. It appears the big box stores buy from the same suppliers - same prices, just differing on sales.

Conclusion: Use the packaging thin foamie and put it in a ziplock bag. Cheap and functional.
