Hello All,
thought I would post to update on my issue emailing from calibre using my gmail account.
as a reminder, I am sending to my free.kindle.com email address, from my *approved* gmail address.
after reading Kovid's post above, I added an exception for calibre.exe to the windows firewall in control panel.
Now I can email to my kindle address.
