Here's mine
Well I saw that the Sony 350 was £111 just like the kindle in waterstones, I wanted it.
I asked the sales assistant about it and said "how long is that offer on?", he said it was "probably going to be finished and is only on because of mothers day" which I was dubious about because he also said it had only been on for a week (when I knew it hadn't because I had been drooling over it for month). Btw it's still on offer!!!!
So the "reason" I got it is because someone gave me the "hard sell".
The real reason is: I wanted it.
The other reason is: I accidentally broke my old Cybook.
Anyway since it was as cheap as the kindle I splashed out on the case with light and never looked back. Sure Kindle can download books much faster and with much more ease but I have a feeling that might lend to me buying things for the sake of it. Although since I got my reader I have bought more paper copies, mainly because I bookcross at a meeting every month (you can't cross with an ebook, well you could if everyone else had readers).
