Date published
Does anybody know a reliable way of obtaining (in bulk, preferably) the original publication date?
My metadata tends to be a bit of a hotchpot; cover from the latest publication and comments from whichever one seems best.
Hence, I have a number of publication dates after the author died! OK, I know that this is a function of the publication that I have selected which invariably is not the original.
Also, can I avoid holding publisher details?
