We are tentatively house hunting again. Yesterday, we found out why the condo we want was so cheap and on the market so long. The owner should be in debtor's prison! Two pages of liens and open permits that they want the buyer to assume? Court fines against the owner for violations in the amount of $250 per day since 2009? Our realtor is studying the documents to see if we can be held accountable if we buy. I say it is not worth the hassle because there are lots of condos in Ft Lauderdale.
