Apologies to those who spent their time reading my posts... and thanks to those of you who refrained from pointing out my stupidity! lol.
I honestly had NO idea that adding a book to the ADE library only created shortcuts to the original file.
So, naturally, when the shortcut no longer functioned, I would get the "no permission to copy here" error message. Although it could be phrased a little more.... informatively?
I am sure there is an ADE for Dummies page somewhere... but I probably wouldn't understand it anyways.
Anyway... sideloaded my books in my refurbished Kobo... and so far, so good. No freeze ups when rebooting... and it seems to disconnect properly from the computer.
Now... off to read!
