The covers are still not here. Oberon shipped them at the 18th and they were consigned to German customs at the 24th but I have not heard anything since. The USPS website seems only to track till customs. This means I have now means to find out what happened to my order or when I will get it. I am just hoping the covers are well worth all the trouble!
I also found out why I was not able to order directly from the Oberon site. This is what Eileen from Oberon CS wrote to me:

Even though I understand they don't want to be subject to fraud orders, I do think there should be some other way than taking certain countries from your odering list. You have to pay before your order is sent out so I do not quite see how they can be scammed. But anyway if someone wants to order from Germany one has to do so by contacting their sales or CS department.
