My apologies for the garbled state of my previous post. This was due to editing to add points as they occurred to me. I also apologize for my failure to note your location in the UK.

I was making the assumption that since you already own a PRS-650, you had registered that device with Sony and had an account with them. I don't know from my own experience if you can buy books from Sony with a UK address. Poppea (in Germany) and Ivy (in Croatia) seem to be able to get books from Sony. I also assumed that you are familiar with Adobe Digital Editions and its use in downloading DRM'd books. Are you already using Calibre?
How have you been putting books on your existing reader?

Anyway, my previous post was only meant to point the way to the appropriate section of Sony's site/bookstore for you to register your ereader, which will allow Sony to 'recognize' the device so that you can add books using the Sony Reader Library app. Let us know how it goes.
