Do you happen to know if it's a stand alone book or should I read the first 2?

This happens to be the first Preston & Child I read, after this one I went back and read EVERYTHING they had out, highly recommended especially for $0.99! Even though Pendergast is the main character I don't think you'll lose much by reading this one first as he really starts to become a feature character in this book.

Nora Kelly is another recurring character, she appears in Thunderhead which is a stand alone.
