You're very welcome - always happy to offer information! Yes, I use an M-Edge custom case (pics below of case and skin). I had it out of the case the other day because I was cleaning it, right after several hours of use and it wasn't holding any noticeable heat. And, since I just happen to be charging it right now, I just took it out of the case and the back isn't warm at all after charging for over two hours. (Some batteries get warm while charging, but apparently the Kindle batteries don't have that issue.)
I do want to mention that cases like the M-Edge and others that use a corner strap mounting system can leave little impressions or "stretch marks" in the skin right under those straps, but if you have it in the case most of the time you won't even notice it. It's purely an aesthetic issue, and doesn't pull the skin loose or anything, but I did want to mention it.
