It's hard to stop, isn't it? I worked in customer service for over 10 years, so I can relate to many of those stories. There's one where an employee tells a customer that an alarm going off is to let management know that an employee escaped. He gets the joke but his wife thinks it's real. It's hilarious - and I've actually done that.
