Do you have a source document to work with instead? This would be much less of a headache. If you have e.g. a Word document with your book, you can email it to the Kindle email address that you setup with a subject line of "convert" (the Kindle email address would be setup via your Amazon account).

If you want more fine-grained control over the conversion process, try downloading Calibre, and convert the book to mobi format to load on the Kindle.
