I imagine that in many countries, no one has purchased rights to books in languages other than the dominant one in that location. So, for example, if you are limited by the on-line store to books that they can legally sell to you, given your location, you will not be able to purchase them.
In the features list for the new Kobo, they say that not only will they have readers in various languages, but customized stores associated with each of them. I wonder if Canadians will be able to choose FR or EN versions, like we do when we log into BestBuy.
