i had an interesting issue yesterday ...
my mom came over for dinner, and i tried to load a couple of books on her kobo. kobo wifi, runnin 1.7.1 - she had a 4gb uSD card in an adapter, about 1230 books on it.
Windows would see both cards fine, but calibre would not talk to either. If i rebooted, pulled the uSD card, and reconnect, calibre saw the kobo jsut fine, and allowed me to load the 2 books. Windows kept prompting me to "repair" the memory on the kobo (internal) ... even after a factory reset.
I am wondering if my little brother, who knows just enough about computers to be dangerous, didn't screw something up somewhere. mom did mention something about him "cloning" the SD card. she also mentioned that the issue began when she got that particular card ... her old normal SD card (4gb) works fine in it.
