Pearl e-ink is the remarkably crisp, highly legible and readable in low and bright lights technology which provides superior reading comfort. It's the best e-ink there is ... and Kindle has it. And Sony x50 models. And now Nook Touch and Kobo Touch. Nothing "dreaded" about that ... it's a significant improvement, in fact.

I'm not trying to spin anything, all of the 6" models suffer from this low resolution. It's why I returned my kindle, usability issues aside. Looking at all of these displays it's glaringly obvious to me and I can't use these device without thinking I'm going blind (the text looks blurry to me).
The Sony PRS350 does not have this screen and has a 200 ppi. After becoming accustomed to this screen I can now even notice the lack of resolution of a 200 ppi display.
