Between your 2 threads I don't think any ereader will work for you in the conventional sense.
If you really don't want to leave any traces you're going to have to just buy books in paper form, scan them into the computer and make your own ebooks. Put them on your device manually without the software and you're good to go. I think the Sony will be perfect for you if you go that route.
