It's hard for me to accept this argument. The media (to make money) has to report on what the public cares about, but they don't have to do it in a moronic way. I also think that the tech media is particularly derelict in their duties to inform people. What other industry has journalists comparing two completely dissimilar products? Would anyone take seriously a car review comparing an Escalade to a Porsche 911? And yet, these are the kinds of idiotic comparisons people put up with in tech journalism.
