I think of evolution as explaining how a species changes over time (wolf to dog for example) but the theory doesn't explain where the wolf itself (that the dog evolved from) came from in the first place. Science rather than disproving the existence of God rather seems to reinforce the idea that he does in fact exist. Plant life points to the existence of water in what looks to be barren desert, but it doesn't explain how the water itself came to exist.
