well the quick answer would be that since you changed covers with calibre on that book you haven't done a conversion (even mobi to mobi works) and a conversion is how calibre puts the new graphic in the mobi file.
yep, i thought of 'Thumbnails? Cache?' too. just thought i'd let alissa decide what to do.
