I certainly understand where you're coming from. I'm the opposite in terms of primary reader. I plan to use the NOOK Touch in sun drenched conditions primarily.
I've ranted about the lack of library management from B&N, but since I use the NOOK app on my NOOKcolor I plan to make use of the sync feature between the devices. Going forward I'll purchase select fiction books from B&N (never have before, only freebies) just so I can switch between the devices. I don't plan on having more than five sideloaded books on there at a time. For my non-fiction stuff I normally purchase from Amazon (lots of stuff I'm interested in not available as NOOKbooks), and get rid of the DRM. I use the Moon+ Reader app for these because highlights and notes can be exported.
