Well he was stoned a good deal of the time. I remember hearing one of his 'meds' was cocaine eye drops for some eye ailment. He took well over the prescribed dosage I understand. Of course it's easy to understand why when you consider how cocaine is so addictive and what it does to a person. The Nazi's weren't the only ones doing hair brained experiments with dogs either. Our own military did some experiments with dogs that involved their supposed ability to smell the difference between ethnic groups. The idea was that they would be able to sniff out the Japanese while discounting the American soldiers in the same area. Needless to say it was flawed science.
