Device: nook
The way the store employee at the Nook stand explained to me this afternoon, you'll get all your books on the new device once you register it with your account credentials. And this was exactly to protect customers from loss of their eBook libraries when the device gets damaged. I have a fair amount of ebooks both purchased from B&N and downloaded for free from non- B&N sites on my Nook Classic so I'd count that and the screen as the pro for buying this reader.
On the con side, no browser. Salesperson made sure she is clear on that. The device uses wifi only for purchasing/viewing books. Although there wasn't a functioning device at the counter so that I could see it for myself. I was SOOO hoping that I could read all those blogs and forum posts on a screen that doesn't stare back at me AND is easy to navigate.
Oh well. A bit of a disappointment. But once it hits the stores, I think I'll be in the line to buy the Simple Reader.
